COMPETITION RULES
APPLICATION
1. All entrants must agree to observe these rules. The submission of any entry shall be deemed to indicate acceptance of these rules.
ENTRY
2.1 This competition is open to any person resident in the UK and over 16 except persons connected with the competition and their immediate families i.e. prize sponsors, promoters, newsagents, wholesalers & their agents.
2.2 Entries must be delivered to Express & Echo Publications Ltd or Combined Insurance Company of America website before the published closing date and time. Late entries will not be considered.
2.3 The entrant is responsible for delivery of the entry. Proof of posting/sending will not be accepted as proof of delivery.
2.4 Combined Insurance Company of America and Express & Echo Publications Ltd will not be held responsible for loss of, delay or damage to any entry.
2.5 Upon submission all entries become property of Combined Insurance Company of America and Express & Echo Publications Ltd and will not normally be returned.
2.6 Closing date for entries is 11.59pm on Wednesday 4th April 2007. The judging will take place after this date.
JUDGING
3.1 Entries which do not comply with the rules will be declared void as will entries which arrive in a mutilated condition or which appear to have been interfered with in any way. Entries which in the opinion of the judges appear to be suspicious will not be considered. Photocopies are not accepted.
3.2 The decision of the judges is final. No correspondence will be entered into concerning the judges’ decision.
3.3 The publicity manager of the newspaper and the Marketing Director of Combined Insurance Company of America shall be sole judges of this competition.
RESULTS
4.1 The winner will be notified in writing of the results after the competition has been judged.
PRIZES
5.1 This competition has one prize only. The prize is £10,000. The prize will be as published and cannot be exchanged nor transferred to another person.
5.2 Combined Insurance Company of America will notify the winner in writing of the place where his or her prize may be collected. If such prize is not collected within 14 days of posting this notification, the prize shall remain the property of Combined Insurance Company of America to do with as it considers fit.
5.3 A prize cannot be awarded to a person who for any reason would not be allowed by law to purchase or use the prize.
5.4 Although Combined Insurance Company of America and Express & Echo Publications Ltd will try to ensure that the prize is received by the prize winner, its responsibility within the rules is limited to providing only that prize which it has offered.
MISCELLANEOUS
6.1 No correspondence will be entered into regarding the interpretation of either these rules or those specific to each competition.
6.2 Unless the context otherwise requires, in these rules the singular shall include the plural, the masculine shall include the feminine and vice versa.
6.3 No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary for entry tom this competition.
6.4 The entrant agrees that photographs may be taken and that their name, organisation and entry can be published for use in subsequent promotional material by Combined Insurance Company of America and Express & Echo Publications Ltd.
